Job Description

The American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP), the nation’s leading advocacy organization for children’s health, is seeking a tech-savvy, fast learner to assist in the execution of institutional licensing sales strategies of AAP content for pediatric group practices to maximize revenue. This position will set up, maintain, and assist in sales of group practice access licenses.

Job Responsibilities

Some duties include: 1. Assist with the ongoing development and implementation of sales strategies for the licensing of AAP content to the group practice market. 2. Negotiate site licenses with group practice customers. Manage and execute renewal and new acquisition strategies for these licenses. 3. Assist with executing site licenses for institutional market. Provide support to supervisor, including fielding sales calls and correspondence. 4. Provide pre and post-sales operational support, including maintaining accurate records of all sales and prospecting activities in Salesforce. Prepare customer invoices. Assist with tracking of site license payments/renewals. Provide additional customer support to both new and existing customers. 5. Liaise with subscription agents regarding institutional site licensing as requested. 6. Assist in reviewing licensing guidelines and pricing to ensure that they meet customer and AAP needs to maximize market penetration and income. 7. Set up product trials for new prospects and send usage statistics to institutions and group practices upon request. 8. Collaborate with marketing staff in development of targeted marketing campaigns and coordinated marketing materials for exhibits and sales agents worldwide.  

Job Requirements

Requirements: 1. Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or related discipline required, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience. 2. Two to three years’ related experience in sales, licensing, and/or marketing required, including cultivating and maintaining solid business relationships. 3. Experience with digital resources preferred. Strong technical acumen with proficiency in MS Office, internet research, and the ability to learn and apply new technologies preferred. 4. Experience with online subscriptions, hosting services (eg, Silverchair, HighWire), and database applications (eg, Salesforce, netForum) preferred.
