Barcelona, April 24th 2012 – Planeta Junior, a company of reference in Europe in the area of children’s and young people’s leisure, has opened a new office in Prague, Czech Republic, that will be used as a base for expanding its activity in Central and Eastern European countries. The Prague office will be headed by Majka Kadlecova, as Sales Manager, under the leadership of the company’s Managing Director Ignacio Segura and International Commercial Director Erwann Chabot.
The arrival of Planet Junior to the Czech Republic responds to the European plan of expansion of the company that, after twelve years of activity, is already a referring one in the markets in which operates via its subsidiaries in Spain, Portugal, Italy, France and Greece. From now on and from this new location, the company will operate in this emerging market with a population of over 110 million and includes countries such as Poland, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria, Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Republic of Macedonia, Montenegro, Serbia, and Turkey (the European region of Istanbul). This new office in Prague will be followed by a new office in Moscow by the end of the year.
The company will exploit its catalog of audiovisual contents for licensing and television– one of the largest in Europe– in these markets, in addition to the extensive representation of some of the biggest brands for children and young people on the market. The properties that will be managed in these new markets include Camille, Magiki and Egyxos, among others.
