Coursework in Licensing Studies (CLS) is an in-depth study of the business of brand licensing and the industry’s only training ground to become a Qualified Licensing Practitioner.
The CLS program is created for professionals seeking a 360-degree view of global brand licensing, taught by industry leaders with expertise in various facets of the business, including branding, marketing, contract law, retail, and more. Most importantly, its new, on-demand design allows for completion in three to four months.
The Course
Month 1 – Basics of Licensing
Students will have one month to complete seven basics courses covering topics such as licensing law, international licensing, royalty rates, retail, product development and more. Each course is available on-demand.
Months 2 & 3 – Advanced Insights
During the second and third month, students will complete ten on-demand courses offering an in-depth exploration of key areas of the brand licensing business. Courses include topics such as collaborations, corporate brand licensing, fashion and lifestyle licensing, sports licensing, location-based entertainment, negotiating a deal and more.
Capstone Project
All students must complete a final capstone project designed to showcase the knowledge the students have gained during the CLS course. The project will be assigned at the beginning of the third month and students will be given 45 days to complete the assignment.
