The buzz is all about NFTs, and you’re thinking about jumping into the game. But is a NFT licensing agreement just like the others you’ve signed? How do you get paid? How do you define the platform(s)? And what’s a “smart contract” and how does it apply here? Pamela Deese, Partner in the Intellectual Property Group at Arent Fox, will guide you through the issues, with plenty of time for your questions and answers.
Pam Deese’s intellectual property representation includes counseling IP owners in developing and maintaining strategic licensing and marketing programs as well as managing related IP portfolios. Her work also includes advertising review and litigation for consumer products companies. Among other things, she provides counsel with respect to the creation, negotiation and enforcement of licenses, endorsement and related agreements, management of worldwide IP rights, as well as representation involving counterfeiting issues, sweepstakes and promotions, and litigating related business disputes. In her free time, she is an adjunct faculty member at American University’s Washington College of Law where she teaches IP Licensing to aspiring attorneys.
