D3Publisher and Cartoon Network to Develop and Publish Games Based on Regular Show in New Publishing Agreement

Mordecai and Rigby take their adventures to a whole new park when they get their first video game based on the Emmy® Award-winning Cartoon Network series
LOS ANGELES – April 9, 2013 – D3Publisher (D3P) and Cartoon Network Enterprises (CNE) today announced a publishing agreement to create and publish video games based on Regular Show, the Emmy® Award-winning animated comedy which follows the exploits of best friends Mordecai, a six-foot-tall blue jay and Rigby, a hyperactive raccoon. This marks the first video game publishing deal for Regular Show, continuing the strategic partnership between D3Publisher and Cartoon Network, which includes the global Ben 10 interactive franchise and last year’s acclaimed Nintendo DS™ and Nintendo 3DS™ release, Adventure Time: Hey Ice King! Why’d You Steal Our Garbage?!
“We’re incredibly happy to continue our partnership with Cartoon Network to bring one of its most popular shows, Regular Show, to the digital world,” said Peter Andrew, vice president of product development, D3P. “With this collaboration with Cartoon Network, J.G. Quintel, and the creative team behind Regular Show, the prospect of producing a new game that captures all of the humor and charm of this superb cartoon series is definitely quite exciting.”
Regular Show is the Emmy® Award-winning animated comedy starring best friends Mordecai and Rigby and their adventures as groundskeepers of the local park. Along with their friends like Pops, Margaret, and Muscle Man, these two BFFs prove that a day in the life of Regular Show is anything but. Regular Show is created by J.G. Quintel and produced by Cartoon Network Studios. New episodes from the fourth season of the series debut Mondays at 8pm ET/PT on Cartoon Network, with replays throughout the week.
“As a brand, Regular Show is tailor-made for an interactive release, with main characters who spend their time slacking off, playing video games or involved in hijinks that are certainly worthy of being in a game,” said Pete Yoder, vice president of consumer products, North America for CNE. “With a show creator who loves games working closely with a partner that has proven success creating high-quality licensed titles, we’re excited to release our first Regular Show game later this year.”
