David Luner Promoted to Executive Vice President, Brand Partnerships and Franchise Management, FremantleMedia North America

Burbank, CA – FremantleMedia North America (FMNA) has promoted David Luner to the newly created position of Executive Vice President, Brand Partnerships & Franchise Management, effective immediately. The appointment was announced today by Thom Beers, CEO, FremantleMedia North America to whom Luner now reports. In his role, Luner will oversee all of FMNA’s ancillary businesses including Digital, Integrated Marketing & Brand Partnerships, Licensing, Live Events, and various elements of business development.

David has a proven track-record of consistently delivering innovative, ground-breaking, and successful branded opportunities with our core entertainment franchises,” said Beers.  
Said Luner, “FremantleMedia has always been committed to aggressively and organically extending our brands through strategic partnerships, technical innovation, and creative integrations.  The opportunity to work directly for Thom Beers as part of the FMNA development and production team will further prioritize the brand building process and align our creative and ancillary business objectives at the highest level.”  
Over the past decade, Luner has held a number of positions within FremantleMedia, including his most recent role as Executive Vice President, Digital and Licensing for the former FremantleMedia Enterprises Group, where he spearheaded some of the most successful and longest running partnerships for core franchises like American Idol, America’s Got Talent, The X Factor, Price Is Right, Family Feud, and Let’s Make A Deal.  On the digital front, Luner was instrumental in pioneering industry leading voting partnerships with Facebook and Twitter, synchronized second-screen branded content apps, and groundbreaking digital partnerships with YouTube, iTunes, Habbo, and Shazam.  Luner also oversaw some of the company’s largest global licensing deals which included the long-running American Idol Experience at Disney, and the highly lucrative and award winning gaming and gambling businesses driven by FMNA’s core game show franchises and the strategic acquisition of the Canadian based gaming company Ludia.   
Luner earned his BA from Brown University, and his MBA in Entertainment and Marketing from USC’s Marshall School of Business.
