Jay Franco Getting Wild with Millennial Breakout Brand “Barbarian”
New York, NY; February 4, 2019: Millennial designer Barbra Ignatiev and leading bedding manufacturer Jay Franco are proud to announce a new licensing deal featuring the BARBARIAN brand’s energetic watercolor prints. Following retail programs at Anthropologie and Staples, and a roster of new licensing partners, Jay Franco will add bedding, beach towels, bath accessories and home storage featuring the colorful bohemian patterns created by Barbra Ignatiev.
The Jay Franco licensing deal was created by The Brand Liaison, the exclusive licensing agent for Barbra Ignatiev and the BARBARIAN brand.
With her wild-at-heart rebel spirit, Barbra Ignatiev features colorful bohemian patterns, florals and watercolors that inspire creativity. “I paint in a wild and carefree style, hoping to evoke the motto which is true in my life and I hope to instill in others: Be brave, get messy and love yourself along the way.” explains creator Barbra Ignatiev. “This ain’t yo’ Grandma’s watercolors! It’s progressive and heart-centered. I believe that’s why so many people and partners are responding to it.”
“We immediately loved Barbra Ignatiev’s beautiful, bold watercolor prints. Barbra’s artwork, embodying her playful and bohemian signature style, is a perfect fit for our product and we are so pleased to bring Barbarian into our portfolio.” Said Elisha Gordon, VP of licensing for Jay Franco.
The BARBARIAN design portfolios includes a wide range of prints and subject matter: modern mandalas, unicorns, and feather prints engage a more mystical side, while quirky skull prints feel playfully indomitable. Lush florals and wild animal prints evoke the feeling of ease and pleasure. Loose tribals and ikats are about connectivity. Mermaid prints and sensual female forms elicit a bold but fun play on feminism: “the idea that “feminism” is being exactly who you want to be. If that means being part fish, cool. If that means being sexy AF, great!” Explained Barbra.
