Delivering Good Has Received $200 Million in New Product Donations in 2020

New York, NY – October 22, 2020 – Delivering Good, the charity of choice for new product donations made by companies in the fashion, home and children’s industries, today announced that a group of top fashion and accessories designers have come together to support the Designing for Good project by donating one-of-a-kind, custom-made jeans and exclusives that will be auctioned

Participants will have the opportunity to bid on the bespoke designs created exclusively for Delivering Good by today’s most innovative fashion leaders. Sketches of the custom jeans donated by the designers can be seen by visiting the website for the Delivering Good online auction.

Delivering Good also announced that it has received more than $200 million in donations of new clothing and essentials since the beginning of 2020. The funds raised at the organization’s Annual Gala will be used to distribute these and other items to local agencies that support those affected by hurricanes, wildfires, COVID-19, poverty, homelessness and other challenges.

“It’s truly heartwarming to see some of the best designers in our industry unite to support individuals and families around the world who need our help,” said Andrea Weiss, Delivering Good’s Board Chair. “Recent hurricanes and wildfires, as well as the COVID-19 pandemic, have affected so many, and our industry’s generosity enables us to help deliver donations of much-needed new merchandise to these communities. We are thrilled to have collected more than $200 million worth of product this year alone and hope to raise $2 million to continue distributing these products where they are most needed. While our Annual Gala helps us raise these critical funds, it also allows us to thank and celebrate those in our industry who make what we do possible.”

This year’s gala celebrates Delivering Good’s 35th anniversary and is themed “Coming Together to Create a More Equitable World.” The event will take place Wednesday, November 4, from 7–8 pm, ET, and will be streamed from the Empire State Building. Ken Downing, Chief Creative Officer of Triple Five Group will emcee the event, along with special guest Whoopi Goldberg. The evening will feature industry awards, talks with leading philanthropists from the fashion world and entertainment.

Delivering Good is also pleased to announce that Klarna, the leading global payments and shopping service, is a platinum sponsor of this year’s gala event.

About Delivering Good
Delivering Good provides companies with a simple and effective way to help millions of kids, adults and families in need through donations of new merchandise. The organization started as Kids In Distressed Situations (K.I.D.S.), providing disaster and poverty relief with new products and apparel for children. Separately, Fashion Delivers provided donations of adult apparel and home items for disaster and poverty relief, and in 2014 the two nonprofits merged; the name Delivering Good was adopted in 2017. Since the founding in 1985, over $2 billion of donated product has been distributed through a network of community partners across the country.
