Licensing will be among the key ingredients in Kohl’s new partnership with WW (formerly Weight Watchers) International a collection of kitchenware and tabletop products.weightwatchers

WW Healthy Kitchen products will available in select Kohl’s stores starting in June and feature licensed goods including meal preparation, storage products and hydration.  Gibson Overseas will be the exclusive kitchenware (cutlery, glass bakeware, lunch bags), says a Gibson Overseas spokesman. The products will carried in a select number of Kohl’s store and online. Gibson signed as a WW licensee a year ago and launched kitchenware products, many designed for the portion control that is at the heart of the weight-loss program. WW Healthy Kitchen items will part of a wider selection of home and lifestyle and wellness products at Kohl’s, including fitness werables and aromatherapy

 In addition to products, Kohl’s will test an 1,800-sq.-ft. WW Studio “community space” in a Chicago area store that will have WW Wellness Workshops for area members and a selection of products.

The agreement with Kohl’s is WW’s most recent push to expand its brand, including a revamped licensing program launched a year ago focusing on the new WW brand identification. For Kohl’s, it’s the most recent effort to test new formats, including smaller locations. It is in the process of installing Aldi grocery sections in 10 stores.
