LIMA Japan to Host One Day Intensive Educational Program on Licensing Basics July 21st

Join LIMA Japan on Thursday 21st July for a one-day intensive licensing education program focused on licensing basics, covering an overview of the industry, licensing business processes, IP basics and a grounding in merchandising license contracts. The program will be followed by an evening networking event for participants and industry professionals.  The program is geared to participants new to licensing or those who have some experience in the industry. Note that a maximum of 40 participants will be accepted, so register now!

The day will kick off with Kaori Taniguchi, General Manager of LIMA Japan giving an industry overview and introducing various licensing statistics. Next, Sachiko Imaizumi, President of Andfika K.K., and former Representative Director of LIMA Japan will present on licensing basics covering contract administration, property management, and marketing issues. Finally, Jun Kanazawa, Attorney-at-Law at Field-R Law Offices, and LIMA Japan Legal Advisor, will introduce the legal theory and basic practices associated with licensing. He will also give a detailed explanation of a merchandising license agreement.
