Luxottica Group Renews 10-year License For Versace Sunglasses With Capri Holdings

Milan, Italy – Capri Holdings and Luxottica Group announced the early renewal of an exclusive license agreement for the Versace brand for the development, production and worldwide distribution of sunglasses and prescription frames.

The ten-year renewal is effective starting April 1, 2020 and is scheduled to expire on December 31, 2029. The previous agreement was set to expire in 2023. Luxottica first licensed the Versace brand in 2003 after acquiring the Italian eyewear company IC Optics, which had been a joint venture between Versace and Italocremona.
