 Breda, Netherlands, 3rd July 2015: Munich based international sales company, Studio 100 Film, announces its recent deal for CGI animated movie, Maya the Bee, with London based pan-European entertainment company, Primal Screen. The deal includes all rights for the United Kingdom, the Republic of Ireland, Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Finland and Iceland and will see Maya and her friends hitting the big screen in the UK in October 2015.
Studio 100 Film has already sold the animated feature film Maya the Bee in over 160 territories so far, including North America and has seen impressive box office sales.
Produced by Studio 100 Media and Buzz Studios, in association with Flying Bark Productions, Maya the Bee features the acclaimed voice talent of Coco Jack Gillies (Mad Max: Fury Road), Academy Award® nominee Jacki Weaver (Animal Kingdom, Silver Linings Playbook), Miriam Margolyes (Harry Potter, Babe), Richard Roxburgh (Mission: Impossible II), Noah Taylor (Game of Thrones, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory), Kodi Smit-McPhee ( X-Men: Apocalypse, Rise of the Planet of the Apes) and Justine Clarke (Home and Away).
Since its launch in April 2014 on the pre-school channel Tiny Pop, Maya the Bee has already reached a large audience and is now in the top 5 properties of the channel in Freeview homes. (April 2015). The show currently airs throughout the day, the evening ‘cuddle time’ slot at 6.30pm being the most popular.
