Hollywood, CA  Miraculous Corp—the joint venture between Mediawan and ZAG—today announced a new global fashion and design initiative that will establish fashion as a long-term strategic pillar of the Miraculous® brand, creating new opportunities to engage creators, partners, and fans through fashion and design. The strategy is inspired by Marinette Dupain-Cheng, the lead character of the globally popular TV series Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug & Cat Noir, whose passion for fashion and dreams of becoming a designer have been central to her story. Building on that foundation, Miraculous Corp will connect the Miraculous® universe with emerging creative talent around the world and provide a global platform for creativity, collaboration, and self-expression.

Fashion has been part of Miraculous from the beginning. Marinette’s creativity, individuality, and design sensibility, have shaped the way she sees and engages with the world, while her experiences as her alter-ego Ladybug add another dimension to the way she approaches her artistry. Together, these elements provide an authentic foundation for Miraculous Corp to champion emerging designers and artists and help the next generation of creators develop their skills, express their individuality, and showcase their ideas.

Miraculous Corp’s expanded focus on fashion will extend across education, designer and brand collaborations, retail experiences, exhibitions, consumer products, gaming, and location-based experiences, as well as other opportunities at the intersection of entertainment and fashion. Through these efforts, the company aims to build deeper connections with fashion and design communities, encourage fan participation, and unlock new creative and commercial opportunities.

At the heart of the strategy is a simple idea: creativity without boundaries. Collaborators will be encouraged to interpret Marinette and the Miraculous® universe through their own creative perspective, producing work that feels original and authentic while reflecting values including imagination, optimism, craftsmanship, confidence and self-expression.

ESMOD Paris becomes the first partnership

As the first agreement announced under the new strategy, Miraculous Corp, with support from TF1 Licensing, will collaborate with leading fashion school ESMOD Paris on a fashion education collaboration designed to connect emerging talent with the creative universe of Miraculous®. The partnership, which commences this fall, brings together two organizations with a distinctive connection to Paris. Miraculous is rooted in a contemporary vision of the city and its culture, while ESMOD has been shaping fashion education in Paris since 1841. Fashion and creative ambition are also embedded in the storytelling of Miraculous®, making the partnership a natural bridge between entertainment, design education, and the next generation of fashion talent.

The project will engage second-year Fashion Design students at ESMOD Paris, who are developing their approach to collection design through creative research, pattern making, textile exploration, and garment construction, alongside 2D and 3D digital design tools. Under the partnership, ESMOD students will participate in a curriculum-integrated fashion design challenge, exploring fashion, storytelling and Parisian identity through the lens of the globally recognized Miraculous® universe. The project is conceived as a high-level academic challenge connecting fashion education with a contemporary entertainment brand whose themes include creativity, empowerment and individuality.

The creative ambition is to reimagine Miraculous® through a premium fashion lens, drawing on Parisian elegance, modernity, and culture while celebrating individuality and empowerment. The partnership will be integrated into ESMOD’s academic structure, with a primary focus on its Stylist degree program.

Roz Nowicki, Global Head of Consumer Products at Miraculous Corp, commented, “Marinette has always represented the idea that creativity can be a superpower. Her journey as both an aspiring fashion designer and Ladybug reflects the imagination, confidence and self-expression at the heart of this vision. With our new fashion and design strategy, we are taking that idea beyond the screen and creating new opportunities for emerging designers who can bring their own voices and perspectives to the Miraculous universe. ESMOD is a particularly meaningful place to begin: Paris, fashion and the development of new creative talent are part of both of our identities.”

Elena Budu, Fashion Design Year 2 Coordinator at ESMOD Paris, said, “This is a great opportunity for our students to work with Miraculous, with its strong identity and distinctive visual language. There is so much for them to draw inspiration from, while having the freedom to reinterpret its codes and explore new fashion directions.”

The fashion initiative will ultimately develop across a number of interconnected areas, including partnerships with leading fashion and design institutions, collaborations with designers and brands, consumer participation, immersive experiences and exhibitions, and product innovation. With ESMOD as its first partnership, Miraculous Corp is beginning to translate Marinette’s fictional dream into real-world opportunities for young creators — positioning fashion not simply as a category extension, but as an enduring part of the brand’s future.
