Next LIMA Webinar – How to Value a Brand or Licensing Property
LIMA continues its webinar series with “Valuing Your Brand and Licensing Property for Sale or Securitization.” The session, which will be presented by Weston Anson, Chairman of CONSOR Intellectual Asset Management, and his team members Doug Bania, Justin Skinner and Cheyenne Hodges, will take place on Tuesday, October 12 from noon to 1:30 p.m. Eastern time.
The webinar will present a realistic perspective on two broad issues: identifying intellectual property assets with value in the marketplace, and the methods used by professionals to determine the value of a brand or licensing asset. The session will also provide guidelines on the most effective ways to bundle and market assets depending on the chosen disposition method.
Anson holds a Masters degree in Business Administration (honors) from Harvard University and is a licensing and marketing professional with a long history of successful programs at firms such as Booz-Allen & Hamilton, Playboy Enterprises and Hang Ten International. Since founding CONSOR more than 20 years ago, he has constructed and implemented numerous licensing programs for major corporations and has performed valuations of hundreds of intellectual property components.
CONSOR provides intellectual property and intangible asset support in the areas of valuation, expert witness services, licensing strategies and business transactions. For more than two decades, CONSOR experts have been called upon by corporate managers and litigation counsel to consult on a wide range of intellectual property issues related to trademarks, brands, patents and technology, and other intangible assets controlled by businesses.
As a benefit of LIMA membership, participation in this webinar is free to current members! The cost for non-members is $99 per session. The session will highlight best practices of licensors and licensees in building collaboration with suppliers to support robust management of social and environmental issues in manufacturing.
