November 19 is 'Robert C. Postal Toy Soldier Day' at the Strong National Museum of Play (Rochester, NY)

NEW YORK (September 19, 2018) – Spotlight Licensing and Brand Management, Inc. President Carole Postal will be hosting a number of “Robert C. Postal Toy Soldier Day” events honoring her late husband, licensing industry pioneer Robert “Bob” Postal, on Monday, November 19, at The Strong National Museum of Play in Rochester, New York.
A focal point for the day’s festivities, which honor veterans in general, will be the “Toy Soldiers on Parade” display including items from the Robert C. Postal Toy Soldier Collection donated to the museum in Bob’s memory.
Carole will be participating in brief presentations at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. to introduce the Collection and have Curator Michelle Parnett-Dwyer talk about the pageantry, pomp, and color of toy military figures.
Visitors will have opportunities to take a picture with a life-sized Little Green Army Man (inducted into the National Toy Hall of Fame in 2014).
Child visitors can enjoy a special Little Green Army Men-themed Storytime Club and Teeny Tiny Boot Camp where participants will receive a free Little Green Army Man (while supplies last) and have the opportunity to design a custom parachute for their solider.
Veterans showing proper identification receive a half off general museum admission fees.
Robert C. Postal Toy Soldier Day and the Toy Soldiers on Parade display are made possible through the support of Carole Postal.
