PBTeen Launches Sony PlayStation Furniture DTR Collection

PBTeen launches an inspired-by Sony PlayStation furniture as the chain builds out its DTR collections. The furniture is the first to be introduced under the PlayStation brand, which more typically is deployed with apparel and videogames accessories.

The 19-store retailer is carrying the five-piece collection online and in stores ranging from storage racks ($69) and wall lights ($199) to a lounge table ($399) and a gaming media console ($1,099). The furniture features PlayStation logos and symbols and black and gray colors.

For PBTeen, which has stores in nine states as well as Mexico, the United Arab Emirates and Kuwait, the PlayStation items are the most recent in a DTR furniture push that began in 2015 with designers Emily Current and Meritt Elliot (Emily & Meritt). It has grown to include brands such as Harry Potter and Star Wars (2017) and, earlier this year, Lily Pulitzer, Hello Kitty and online cosmetics retailer Benefit Cosmetics (for such products as a vanity table, wall art and bedding).
