LONDON, UK  – BUSY BAM, the Polish-Irish toy concept incubator and IP company, has named Skükl the global master toy licensee for Konkerz, an all-new collectible battle toy that reimagines a playground game played by generations of kids for nearly 180 years.

Brokered by Big Picture Licensing, the agreement gives Skükl worldwide rights to develop and commercialize Konkerz, transforming one of childhood’s most enduring play patterns into a modern system of battling, collecting, and customization.

Konkerz takes the simplicity and competitive spirit of the original game and turns it into an easy-to- learn, highly collectible battle experience. Every Konkerz pack gives kids everything they need to battle straight out of the pack. Players compete to win Battle Totems and Battle Scars, creating social currency they can collect, trade, and show off on their Konkerz strings, backpacks, and more.

The line combines physical competition, collecting, and personalization across an expanding assortment of original Konkerz designs. Skükl and BUSY BAM also plan to extend the platform through globally recognized licensed IP across both Sports and Entertainment properties.

Paul Lynch, CEO of BUSY BAM and inventor of Konkerz, said: “The best toys don’t just entertain, they create memories. Konkerz was inspired by one of the world’s oldest playground games, but it’s really about bringing kids back together to compete, collect and create stories of their own. Skükl immediately saw the potential to build something much bigger than a toy, and I’m incredibly excited to see where we can take it together.”

Bill Graham, President of Skükl, said: “Konkerz stood out to us immediately because the play pattern is fun, social, and intuitive. We’ve taken that classic foundation and layered in new ideas that evolve and elevate the game into a completely new, collectible experience. We see tremendous potential to build Konkerz into a global battle toy brand, and we’re excited to share our take with retail and distribution partners this fall.”

The partnership brings together two emerging companies built on deep industry experience. Skükl is a new force in the global toy and collectibles market, bringing together a proven team across product, licensing, marketing, sourcing, manufacturing, and global retail. BUSY BAM brings deep toy-industry experience and a focus on original play concepts and IP.

Skükl will introduce Konkerz to retailers and distributors at the upcoming Los Angeles Toy Previews ahead of its planned global launch. The brand will be supported by social-first content centered on battles, competition, collecting, customization, and the ultimate question: Who will you Konker?
