Target Secures Multi-Territory deal with Nickelodeon for Fifi and the Flowertots

London:  Target Entertainment has made a strong start to 2011, securing a major new multi-regional broadcast deal for Chapman Entertainment’s hit pre-school series Fifi and the Flowertots with Nickelodeon and appointing two new sales executives.
Series 1 (52×10’) of Fifi and the Flowertots has been licensed for broadcast to Nickelodeon across Europe (including Benelux, Scandinavia, Germany, Spain and Italy), the Middle East, Asia (including India), Africa, Latin America and New Zealand. The deal was brokered by Cecilie Olsen, Sales Manager at Target Entertainment and marks the first time the show will be seen in some key territories including Spain.
Fifi and the Flowertots continues to be a global success for Target, which has international TV rights to all 117×10’ episodes of the show.  To date, the series has sold to broadcasters in over 150 countries with licensing rights concluded with over 90 licensees.
Fifi and the Flowertots is about an inquisitive little Flowertot who lives in a colourful garden world with her friends.  The series airs in the UK on Five’s pre-school block Milkshake! – where it is the second most popular show with girls and the third most popular show with boys – and on Nick Jr, who originally co-commissioned the show.  
Andrew Haydon, Commercial and Financial Director at Chapman Entertainment says: “We are very proud or our loveable flowertot series. Since launch, Fifi has continued to bloom and through this fantastic deal with Nickelodeon, we can bring fiddly flower petal fun in 2011 to children in new territories around the world.”
Target is also bolstering its sales team for 2011 with the hiring of two new sales executives.
Imrun Islam has been appointed as Senior Sales Executive, looking after Spain & Portugal, Eastern Mediterranean, Africa and Benelux.  She most recently worked as a Sales Execuive at Steadfast International and prior to that as a Sales Executive at Fireworks International.
Kanwal Hayer is also a new Senior Sales Executive with responsibility for selling Target’s catalogue of hit titles to Russia & CIS, the Middle East, Israel and Asia.  He joins from Zodiak Entertainment where he was a Sales Executive.
