Toei Animation Europe To Exhibit At Brand License Europe 2019

An Expansion of Dragon Ball Super’s Licensing Campaign And The Upcoming Feature Film Release of One Piece: Stampede Mark A Year Defined By Key Achievements

PARIS (25/09/2019) — In a year defined by key licensing developments, Toei Animation Europe will highlight the ongoing expansion of its core brands across Europe at the upcoming Brand License Europe (Oct. 1 -3), on booth C300.

Dragon Ball Super continues building its profile by adding new television broadcasters throughout the region, while One Piece is taking full advantage of its 20th anniversary by announcing new licensees and the theatrical debut of its latest animated feature film.

Dragon Ball Super is now available in the UK on the children’s network POP, and in Russia on 2×2 during its weekly kids programming spots. Alongside welcoming new television exposure, Dragon Ball Super’s licensing programming has expanded in several categories.

Dragon Ball Super is well-represented at multiple B2C events across EMEA: EGX, MCM Comic Con (UK in October), Comi Con Moscow (Russia in October), Salon del Manga (Spain in November), G! come Giocare (November in Italy), Paris Games Week (November in France).

In Q4, men’s clothing retailer, Célio will release special designs of Dragon Ball-themed apparel for teenagers and young adults. Toys also continue to be a successful category for Dragon Ball Super, with Bandai’s all-new toy line released in September.

At the same time, One Piece is recognizing its 20th anniversary through a series of major happenings. Q4 2019 will see the debut of the animated feature film, One Piece: Stampede. Already a huge success in Japan, One Piece: Stampede is eagerly-awaited by fans across EMEA. International Japanese clothing retailer, Uniqlo will complement the film’s release by launching a collection of movie themed t-shirts. This follows an earlier promotion from last June that featured clothing based on the regular television series.

One Piece further expects to begin the new year on a strong footing with the expected 2020 release of One Piece Pirate Warriors 4 – the sequel to the best-selling multi-platform video game, One Piece Pirate Warriors 3.
“Brand License Europe offers us the opportunity to not only recognize a remarkable year for our core brands, but to expand our European licensing campaigns,” said Ryuji Kochi, President of Toei Animation Europe.

Toei Animation Europe is presenting at Brand Licensing Europe at booth C300.
