Upcoming LIMA Japan Educational Opportunities
LIMA Japan will once again offer its regular series of one-to-one licensing clinic sessions to the Japanese licensing industry this month.
Kaori Taniguchi, LIMA Japan General Manager and Pochi Kusama, president of Brandog, a licensing consultancy, and an ex-managing director of LIMA Japan, will offer expertise across the spectrum of licensing issues including basic legal, marketing, sales, royalty rate setting, agent solicitation and overseas business expansion.
A specific focus of the sessions will be geared to companies and individuals looking to get into licensing for the first time and/or wishing to learn more about LIMA and the advantages and benefits of membership – the sessions will be offered free-of-charge to this group. LIMA members are also free and non-members requiring specific licensing advice will be charged JPY5,000, reimbursable if they join LIMA in the following two months.
Three sessions per day will be offered on Thursday 18th April and Friday 26th April. Click here for further details and registration in Japanese.
On Friday 10th May, LIMA Japan will present a seminar on licensing agency agreement basics at the Tokyo University of Science.
