LMCA Brokers Standby Generator Brand Extension Deal for Trane®
New York (May 1, 2017) LMCA announced the signing of a trademark licensing agreement with Lifan Holdings for Trane®-branded whole-house and light commercial standby generators. Trane, a leading global provider of indoor comfort solutions and services and a brand of Ingersoll Rand, is also the nation’s most trusted name in residential HVAC according to a recent survey by Lifestory Research
“The Trane brand stands for quality, reliability and efficiency – key factors in the standby generator purchase decision,” said Lifan Holdings portfolio manager for generators, Jeff VanRysselberge. “Lifan has delivered on these same qualities for more than 25 years. Offering the Trane brand on our liquid cooled standby generators is a win for our retail partners and their shoppers.”

Trane whole-house and light commercial standby generators will be available in the U.S. and Canada for installation beginning in Q2 2017. They may be purchased through the Trane network of distributors and dealers; electrical distributions, standby generator specialists, propane distributors and through various hardware channels.
The license was brokered by Trane’s licensing agent, LMCA. Philip Raia, senior vice president of LMCA said, “The relationship between Trane and Lifan Holdings will enhance the Trane brand, expand their customer base and generate new revenue for both companies.”
