Hello Kitty Arrives on Wii™ with 'Hello Kitty Seasons'

LYON, FRANCE – 11 February 2011 – NAMCO BANDAI Partners S.A.S. today announced the European launch of Sanrio Digital’s Hello Kitty Seasons for the Nintendo Wii. Distributed in Europe by NAMCO BANDAI Partners, Hello Kitty Seasons is the first Hello Kitty title for Wii, and the latest addition to the line of games featuring Sanrio characters, which also includes Hello Kitty Birthday Adventures out now for Nintendo DS.

“We are very excited to welcome the Hello Kitty brand to the Wii gaming system,” said Olivier Comte, VP Marketing, Sales and Publishing at Namco Bandai Partners. “We know that fans will enjoy their favourite Sanrio characters in this new adventure.”
Hello Kitty Seasons challenges players to create a character and undertake missions and adventures in order to grow a colourful town populated by lovable Sanrio characters, including Hello Kitty, My Melody, Keroppi, Badtz-Maru, Little Twin Stars, and Chococat. Players will build up the community around them to unlock new levels and content while playing exciting new mini-games that challenge their Wii Remote skills. As they progress through the game, players will customize their town, earn achievements, discover bonuses and unlock power-ups.
As time passes, the world of Hello Kitty Seasons changes to reflect the player’s actions and the turning of the seasons. Players can tidy up with some spring cleaning, serve ice cream to friends in the summer, pick pumpkins in the cool autumn breeze, or warm up in winter with some hot cocoa. New challenges appear according to the time of year, each one bringing renewed opportunities for endless Hello Kitty fun and games.
“Hello Kitty Seasons on the Nintendo Wii offers an engaging experience for our fans and their families to enjoy,” said Robert Ferrari, Vice President of Publishing and Business Development, Sanrio Digital. “Expanding the retail distribution of our first Wii title across Europe is a strategic step for our company and another boost to the already strong brand presence of Hello Kitty.”
