Planeta Junior Intensifies Licensing Program for "Maya the Bee 3D"
Barcelona, Spain, March 17, 2011– A year before for the premiere in television, more than 88 companies have already joined the licenses program of ‘Maya the Bee 3D’ in the south of Europe. Planeta Junior, producer of the new series of television and manager of all the rights in Spain, Portugal, France, Italy and Greece, has intensified his work concerning this one new property that promises to be one of the strongest in Europe. The brand Maya the Bees has a spontaneous brand awareness of over a 90% in key markets.
“Maya the Bee 3D” is an ambitious television production of Studio 100 and Planeta Junior, realized with 3D technology and with a budget of more than €10m.
The series, in a production stage, is based on the popular characters of the classic TV production but it is a question of a completely new creation in which the scripts are original and adapted to the current times. This new release directed to a target from 2 to 6 years, will contribute so an entire update, including also new characters, but keeping intact the spirit and the values that have done of the series an outstanding figure of the television: the friendship, the tolerance, the solidarity and the respect for the environment.
To the licensing program of this property has joined companies that will produce all kind of consumer products in different categories: publishing, toys and games, stationery & BTS, travel, costumes, gift & novelties, accessories, health care, toiletries or food, among others.
‘Maya the Bee 3D’ it’s framed in a global project that pretends to update the television classic productions that have been a phenomenon since the 80’: Maya the Bee, Heidi and Vicky the Viking. The production is a review of the classics adapted to the current target and released in 3D HD technology. All of this new production in 3D includes a comprehensive style guide and licensee program.
