LMI ISA Westminster Collection Trade Press Release

LMI are delighted to announce their new partnership between International Space Archives and The Westminster Collection for the definitive Apollo Missions Medal Collection.
ST Moon Landing 50th Apollo Mission Badges Antique Medal Collection Album 2In a deal brokered by LMI, The Westminster Collection have been working closely with International Space Archives, LLC to gain special permission to create a series of brand new licensed commemorative medals featuring each of the official NASA Mission Patches created for the Apollo space programme. The collection follows each of the Apollo launches to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the Apollo 11 Moon landing on 20th July 2019. What makes each of the medals fascinating is that each of the Mission Patches they feature were originally designed by the Apollo astronauts themselves providing the collector with a very personal link to something originally designed by the men who first put man on the moon.
David Cole from The Westminster Collection commented: It has been a genuine delight for everyone involved in bringing the Apollo Missions Silver-Plated Medal Collection to life at The Westminster Collection. Working closely with the International Space Archives, we have been able to develop a series of brand new commemorative medals for space enthusiasts everywhere, with the fascinating stories behind the designs encouraging a brand new generation to immerse themselves in space exploration, and the historic Apollo Missions.
Bob Pokress from International Space Archives commented: “We are thrilled to see these historic Apollo space program missions that truly mesmerized the entire world honoured for space program enthusiasts and for collectors by The Westminster Collection in this beautiful set of commemorative medals that The Westminster Collection has designed drawing upon materials that we at International Space Archives preserve.
Andrew Maconie from LMI commented: ‘We are delighted to be working with The Westminster Collection and International Space Archives on this collection. Westminster’s understanding of the collector market has allowed them to exploit the full depth of the International Space Archives materials and knowledge to create a truly unique set of Medals for space collectors everywhere. This builds further on the success that our UK and International partners are having with this programme in the run up to the 50th Anniversary of the Moon landings next year and with the success of the First Man movie the ISA programme is expanding.
