Wicked Cool Toys Readies Licensed Micro Machines Line
Wicked Cool Toys launch will a new line of licensed Micro Machines vehicles this fall, marking the brand’s return after a 14-year absence.
Wicked Cool developed the Super Van City line in a licensing agreement with Hasbro, which inherited Micro Machines as part of its $200 million acquisition of Galoob Toys in 1998. Galoob introduced the tiny vehicle Micro Machines line in the mid-1980s and added licenses for Star Wars, Star Trek, Power Rangers and others. The line was known for its transforming playsets that could switch from being a factory to a test track and other forms.
The new line includes more than 20 areas of play includes a working bridge, construction site, high rise building, drag strip, tons of ramps and the ability to connect to other playsets. There also will be three vehicles.
