Angry Bird Problem? – Geico
Rovio’s Angry Birds were the perfect character pairing for GEICO, who have become known for mixing fantasy with reality and creating pop-culture cross-over ads. Previous efforts featured Yogi Bear and Animal from The Muppets. Custom animation was created for this campaign and Born Licensing worked closely with Rovio Entertainment to deliver character assets and detailed references to The Martin Agency to ensure the Angry Birds were brought to life as accurately as possible.
Deliveroo’s Very Hungry Caterpillar – Deliveroo
Timed to celebrate World Literacy Day, Deliveroo partnered with Very Hungry Caterpillar for a limited-edition themed meal box. All profits were donated to World of Eric Carle’s charity partner, Action for Children. Deliveroo’s Very Hungry Caterpillar meal boxes brought families together to read the Very Hungry Caterpillar book included in every WEC Deliveroo box and enjoy a variety of the foods that are featured in Carle’s classic story. The meal boxes sold out in a day.
PAW Patrol Waze Co-Pilot – Waze
Partnering with Waze to promote PAW Patrol: The Movie, fans turned each drive into a mission with the beloved characters from the franchise. Once activated on the Waze app, users were guided by Ryder, Marshall, Skye, and Chase as they navigated and kept drivers updated on everything happening en route. Users could also change their Waze Mood to Chase’s Police Car, Marshall’s Fire Truck or Skye’s Plane to ride into action
Plant with Peppa Reforestation – Asda, Ecologi
Hasbro’s landmark Plant with Peppa reforestation promotion launched in partnership with Ecologi and Asda to mark the brand’s first sustainability initiative. From October 26 – November 9, 2021, families could visit one of 427 UK Asda stores to purchase an item from a cross-category, sustainable range and help reach a target of planting 10,000 trees. Consumers could also donate to plant a tree directly on Ecologi.com and watch it grow in a digital ‘Peppa Forest.’
Playmobil For Every Starbucks Buddy – Starbucks, Playmobil
Starting in January 2021, a five-week PLAYMOBIL promotion in more than 1.400 STARBUCKS stores generated a social buzz on YouTube, Facebook, Instagram and all other channels in South Korea. STARBUCKS ran a promotion including seven unique and exclusive PLAYMOBIL figurines. The premiums were handed out for free to those buying the recommended STARBUCKS coffee drinks. The limited editions were released in five waves during the promotional period.
Uber Famous Rides (TMNT, Spongebob, Scooby) – Uber Rides
To celebrate Halloween in style, Uber got dressed up as famous rides from three iconic animations. Lucky riders in LA, Atlanta, and Miami had the chance to book the ride of a lifetime in the SpongeBob SquarePants Patty Wagon, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Party Wagon, and Scooby-Doo Mystery Machine. To support the campaign, special content was made with influencers Nina Drama and Will Wahony. On Instagram, the content reached just under 370,000 accounts on their two channels alone.
