UFC Promotes Meghan Mernin to Vice President of Licensing
Las Vegas, NV — UFC announced that Meghan Mernin, who has played a pivotal role in driving new business and establishing the licensing vertical for the company, is being promoted vice president of licensing for global consumer products.
Mernin is responsible for directing UFC’s global licensing strategy and overseeing new business development with IMG, UFC’s exclusive licensing agency. Mernin works closely with IMG to secure and build sustainable licensing and retail programs for UFC.
In addition, she oversees account management of a majority of UFC’s licensees, including Panini, Timex, and Culture Kings. In her expanded role, Mernin is also responsible for the digital products team and driving current business with gaming and digital partners, including EA Sports, Draft Kings, and Concept Labs, while also identifying new business opportunities in the digital space.
“Meghan has proven to be a key leader of our team and has helped grow UFC’s consumer products licensing business over the last two years,” said Tracey Bleczinski, UFC Senior Vice President of Global Consumer Products. “She has been vital in shaping UFC’s global licensing effort, and with her guidance the demand by best-in-class manufacturers and retailers to partner with UFC has never been stronger.”
Mernin joined UFC in September of 2021 following one year with Equity Management Inc. (EMI), where she served as Director of Client Sales Management. Prior to EMI, Mernin spent seven years with Epic Rights, a subsidiary of Universal Music Group, where she helped build licensing programs for musicians including David Bowie, KISS, Aerosmith, *NSYNC, AC/DC and others.
