New York, – Cult NYC-based prep-meets-streetwear brand Rowing Blazers, long renowned for its wide variety of nostalgia-driven collaborations, has dropped its newest capsule: the ski-inspired Rowing Blazers x Moomin collection, celebrating the beloved Finnish characters – the Moomins.

The new collection is part of the brand’s Holiday ’25 offerings, and features some of Rowing Blazers’ signature styles. This includes a striped rugby shirt with embroidered detailing; a striped Oxford cloth button-down shirt; a piqué icon polo top; crewneck sweaters in both cotton and cashmere with oversized intarsia-knit designs; graphic t-shirts; a hooded sweatshirt; and accessories like embroidered cotton twill caps, a woven club-style necktie, and a cashmere beanie with a Rowing Blazers x Moomin ski patch.

The Moomins are the central characters in a series of novels, short stories, picture books and comics by Finnish writer and illustrator Tove Jansson. As the brand celebrates its 80th anniversary in 2025, this launch builds on a growing wave of U.S. excitement for Moomin including a hit Brooklyn Public Library partnership, rising Gen Z fandom, and a new Rebecca Sugar–led film in development from Annapurna. “This collection feels like a wonderful tribute to the Moomins adventurous spirit,” said James Zambra, Creative Director at Moomin Characters.

The partnership with Rowing Blazers was managed by U.S. licensing agent King Features Syndicate, a unit of Hearst and home to some of the world’s most iconic entertainment brands, on behalf of brand owner Moomin Characters.

“This new collection perfectly joins together the bold self-expression of streetwear with the whimsical and playful world of Moomin. By collaborating with Rowing Blazers, we’re giving fans a new way to fuse nostalgia and their love of the Moomins with distinct style,” said Christina Nix-Lynch, Senior Director of Licensing, King Features Syndicate.

“Moomin is such a natural partnership for our brand,” said Tommy Cissel, Collaborations & PR Manager, Rowing Blazers. “This collaboration allows fans of the Moomins to see their favorite characters in ways they’ve never imagined and truly harnesses the Rowing Blazers spirit of being ‘a club for everyone.’”

The new Moomin collection fits into Rowing Blazers’ rich world of best-selling, irreverently nostalgic collaborations, which have included Babar, Winnie-the-Pooh, Paddington™, Thomas & Friends™, and, most recently, Magic 8 Ball™ and UNO™. Moomin characters’ curiosity, enthusiasm and kind-heartedness, and occasional lapses into well-meaning misbehavior, perfectly encapsulate Rowing Blazers’ ethos.

The Rowing Blazers x Moomin collection is now available exclusively at rowingblazers.com. Prices range from USD $58-$428.
