Australian Geographic and Science and Nature Form New STEM Licensing Partnership
Australian Geographic and Science and Nature have announced a new licensing partnership to develop a range of hands-on STEM and nature-based products, launching in late September 2026 with four science lab kits covering Biology, Botany, Chemistry and Physics.
The partnership combines Australian Geographic’s experience in science, nature and educational storytelling with Science and Nature’s expertise in developing educational science kits and accurate animal replicas. Together, the two Australian brands aim to create products that encourage children to explore, experiment and develop a deeper understanding of the natural world.
A partnership built on shared purpose
Australian Geographic and Science and Nature share a belief that children are more likely to understand and care for the natural world when they are given opportunities to explore it for themselves.
For Australian Geographic, the partnership creates a new way to inspire children through hands-on science and nature-based learning. For Science and Nature, it provides an opportunity to bring its product expertise to new audiences through the reach and recognition of the Australian Geographic brand.
“This partnership brings together Australian Geographic’s passion for discovery and education with Science and Nature’s deep expertise in creating engaging, hands-on products for children,” said Tom Bates, Licensing and Publishing Manager at Australian Geographic.
“The new range will give young people more ways to explore science and the natural world for themselves, and we’re excited to bring it to families across Australia.”
“We are incredibly proud to be associated with Australian Geographic in bringing this new and exciting range to the market,” said Nigel Kirby, Director of Science and Nature.
“We create sustainably sourced products that nurture curiosity and a lifelong love of learning about the world around us.”
Launching with four hands-on science kits
The first products released under the partnership will be four Australian Geographic science lab kits focused on Biology, Botany, Chemistry and Physics.
Each kit is designed to take young scientists beyond the textbook through practical experiments that encourage them to question, investigate and discover how the world works.
Additional products are already in development, with plans to expand the collaboration into further science, nature and animal-based categories that draw on the expertise of both organisations.
