Probiotic soda Olipop is expanding into toothpaste as part of collaboration with Essor Group’s Boka oral care brand.

Pomegranate Sparkle n-Ha Toothpaste, flavored to taste like Olipop’s latest pomegranate soda and featuring notes of pomegranate, passionfruit, lemon and vanilla flavors, launched October 14.

“At Boka, we believe the best wellness routines are the ones you actually look forward to,” Sarah Mountcastle Mitchell, Boka general manager, said. “Olipop has completely reimagined what a better-for-you soda can look and taste like, and we’ve taken a similar approach to oral care. This collaboration brings those two worlds together in a fun, unexpected way, turning an everyday routine into something that feels special for the holiday season.”

Probiotic toothpaste isn’t unique to Olipop. It has been growing popular on the market and contains a lactic acid bacteria designed to reduce plaque build-up and maintain a neutral plaque pH balance while also reducing gum inflammation and bleeding. Olipop, which launched in 2018, has financial backing from J.P. Morgan Private Capital as well as the musical group The Jonas Brothers and actress Gwenyth Paltrow.

Boka is a nano hydroxyapatite toothpaste that is free of fluoride, sulfates, parabens & artificial flavors & color. It was introduced in 2016.
