The global licensing community is guided by an incredible group of senior executives whose diverse backgrounds and creative energy drive innovation and excellence. Each month, we’re profiling one of these professionals in this ongoing series.
How do you start your day?
I’m an early riser by necessity. I find that getting up well before the rest of the house to address emails and organize my day gives me a great headstart. It’s essential for me to have that uninterrupted time for deep work before the morning chaos ensues.
What’s one item you always need on your desk?
My iPhone. It’s how I stay connected to my team throughout the day and make sure I’m always accessible when something needs quick alignment.
What unique skill or characteristic do you bring to your team?
I bring a calm and pragmatic approach to everything I do. With an MBA, over 20 years of experience in brand management and licensing, and the perspective of being a mom of three, I’ve learned to navigate complexity with curiosity and adaptability.
What is something you learned at a previous job that prepared you for your current role?
I have been fortunate to work with and learn from some of the smartest people in the industry, and they really shaped how I view licensing partnerships and negotiations.
What is your favorite aspect of your current role?
I love that no two days are alike; each day brings new opportunities, learnings, and challenges. It keeps my job interesting that I get to work across every product category on one of the most beloved brands in the world!
What is one thing you would change about the licensing industry?
I’d love to see the industry move away from rigid category silos so we can build more thoughtful, strategic partnerships.
If you had an extra hour in your workday, how would you use it?
I would do more long-term strategic work—there is never enough time in a day.
What is one thing you need to do every day to feel accomplished?
Finding a solution to a complex situation leaves me feeling energized.
Are you a carry-on or checked bag traveler?
Carry-on. Multi-destination trips leave no room for lost luggage.
What do you always have in your suitcase on a work trip?
A pair of stylish sneakers! I never travel without them.
If you weren’t in licensing, what would you be doing?
I am passionate about interior design and design overall. I love a beautiful aesthetic, so I would definitely lean towards a career in the creative space.
What advice would you give to yourself 10 years ago?
Trust your intuition and know your worth.
What are you most excited about moving forward?
All the fresh and innovative Minecraft partnerships we have in the pipeline for 2027.
