Orange County, CA — Volcom, Quiksilver, Billabong, Roxy, and RVCA are celebrating a significant return to Hawaii with the reopening of two premier retail locations on O’ahu. In partnership with The Levy Group for Volcom and BR Japan for Boardriders, the brands are reestablishing their presence across the islands and strengthening their historic ties to the surf community that has shaped their identity for decades.

Boardriders will reopen its U.S. flagship Boardriders store in Waikīkī through Authentic’s partnership with BR Japan. Spanning more than 7,000 square feet and located steps from the Duke Kahanamoku statue, the store will serve as a key global retail location and will feature a curated mix of iconic Action & Outdoor brands, including Quiksilver, Billabong, Volcom, Roxy, and RVCA.

“Our store sits right in front of the birthplace of surfing, the most important location in surfing history,” said Sammy Yoo, President of BR Japan. “This is our flagship store, arguably the most important property in the surf industry, and we want it to feel truly original. The imagery we’re collecting, from Waikīkī’s early surf culture to iconic shots of our athletes, honors the past while inspiring the future.”

Volcom’s return to the area is anchored by Authentic’s partnership with The Levy Group, which has teamed up with longtime Hawaii retailer Cycle City, to reopen the Volcom store in Haleiwa. The store will feature the brand’s apparel, swimwear, footwear, accessories, and signature design energy, reintroducing Volcom’s unique point of view to both locals and visitors.

“Reestablishing Volcom’s presence in Haleiwa is an important milestone for us,” said Louis Levy, President of The Levy Group. “Hawaii has always been central to the brand’s story, and we’re committed to building stores with a partner that reflects the energy, creativity, and authenticity that define Volcom.  With our iconic Volcom houses at Pipeline only six and a half miles away, re-opening this location is another step in supporting Volcom athletes, consumers, and the community on O’ahu’s North Shore”

Since acquiring the portfolio and assuming ownership of the brands, Authentic has prioritized finding operators who share their values and recognize Hawaii’s significance within their heritage. This progress in Hawaii builds on the successful opening of 15 new stores across Western Europe, reflecting accelerated growth across the Action and Outdoor Sports portfolio. In total, Authentic and its partners have opened more than 20 new doors globally, each essential to the brands’ continued retail expansion.

“This is more than retail returning to the islands—it’s our brands reconnecting with a place that has been essential to our identity,” said David Brooks, EVP of Action and Outdoor Sports at Authentic. “Through strong partnerships and shared vision, we’re elevating the retail landscape, supporting local jobs, and bringing surf culture back to the center of the experience.”
