Crosley Radio Unveils Exclusive Record Store Day 2021: The Beatles Yellow Submarine Portfolio Turntable

Collectors and vinyl evangelists have marked their calendars for the return of Record Store Day in a two-part celebration this June 12th and July 17th. To commemorate #RSDDrops, Crosley Radio has teamed up with Apple Corps Ltd to release what could be the most highly anticipated exclusive turntable in Record Store Day history: The Beatles Yellow Submarine Portfolio Turntable. The deal was brokered by Thread Shop, Sony Music’s licensing and merchandising division.

“We really can’t top having The Beatles Yellow Submarine Portfolio Turntable as the exclusive turntable of Record Store Day 2021, and I say that fully aware of the 20th Century music and pop-culture icons we’ve offered in previous years. The 1,500 Yellow Sub Turntables available for the 2021 Record Store Day June drop will be offered at hundreds of indie record stores in the US and will be collectors items for years to come,” says Scott Bingaman, President of Deer Park Distributors, LLC.

Slated to release on June 12th with just 1,500 turntables available, the custom Portfolio Turntable will be decked out in the unmistakable Yellow Submarine style with an MSRP of $159.95. The official turntable of Record Store Day 2021 will be sold at participating indie Record Store Day retailers in the US while quantities last.

In 2020, Record Store Day was postponed accommodating safety concerns amid our global pandemic. “This project has been a labor of LOVE  for all involved and having it finally come to fruition for RSD 2021is an even better way to cap the project, both old and new fans alike will want to own this collectible” said Joe Marziotto, Thread Shop’s Vice President of Branding and Licenising”.

“Record Store Day has worked with Crosley on some really fun turntables in the past, Disney, The Ramones, Star Wars and Peanuts, but their Yellow Submarine turntable is my absolute favorite. It’s beautiful, bright, fun and it’s The Beatles. We’re hoping it brings a smile to everyone’s face the same way the song and movie did when they were first released,” shares  Michael Kurtz, Co-founder, Record Store Day.

Charging forward into a new year with two drop dates, Record Store Day continues to seek to support independent brick and mortar record stores with exclusive releases, collectors’ items, and socially distanced celebrations.

Details on the table: Each Crosley limited edition Yellow Sub Portfolio turntable offers the following features:

• Audio-Technica cartridge and stylus mounted on tonearm with adjustable counterweight
• Belt-driven three-speed turntable with pitch control
• Built in dynamic stereo speakers for music anywhere
• Headphone jack
• RCA output, AUX input and built-in Bluetooth receiver
