LOS ANGELES – July 13, 2015 – At New York Fashion Week: Men’s, DreamWorks Animation will unveil its limited edition “Character Clash” collection showcasing five classic characters in designs from Billy Reid, Ernest Alexander, Michael Bastian, Ovadia & Sons, Public School, Robert Geller, Timo Weiland and Todd Snyder. Available exclusively on Amazon Fashion from July 13, the range of tees and hoodies includes the famous faces of Felix the Cat, He-Man, Richie Rich, Underdog and Where’s Waldo?.
“DreamWorks Animation is excited to join CFDA and Amazon Fashion in support of New York Fashion Week: Men’s. Our library of diverse characters includes a host of heroes, trailblazers and misfits that make an unlikely complement to these leaders in men’s design,” said Brian Robinson, Head of Creative, Design and Development for DreamWorks Animation. “The collision of these icons of pop culture with those of the fashion industry has resulted in a fun and irreverent collection we’re thrilled to share with Amazon’s millions of customers.”
Intended to inspire a clash between designer and subject, the sixteen-piece collection sees the unexpected merging of each designer with the classic character of their choice, resulting in artistic interpretations across each design. DreamWorks offered the group creative freedom to reinterpret the character they loved most to fit their aesthetic. From graphic prints and embroidered patches, to typewriter art and camouflage, each design is as unique as the pairings themselves.
