The Ethical Supply Chain Program (ESCP) has surpassed its three-year target to expand the reach of its family-friendly initiatives, benefitting 34,212 children by the end of 2025.

The newly released Worker Well-Being Impact Report 2025 details a landmark year for ESCP’s worker well-being programs and demonstrates their effectiveness in improving the lives of workers and their families across global supply chains.

The program benefited more children in 2025 than ever before. 12,075 workers and 13,509 children were supported across 95 factories in China and Vietnam through improved access to childcare and more equitable workplace policies.

Key achievements highlighted in the 2025 report

Gender Equality Program Growth:

  • Over 5,000 workers received online or in-person training
  • Gender-focused training initiatives resulted in a 36% improvement in gender equality scores in participating factories
  • Gender equality training significantly improved recognition of workplace violence, with awareness rising from 9% to 71% among employees

Worker Helpline:

  • ESCP provided confidential assistance and workplace guidance to 298,000 factory and construction workers worldwide in 2025.
  • Factories with access to the helpline have seen a decline in unresolved labor disputes and improved worker confidence in reporting issues.

2025 also marked the tenth anniversary of ESCP’s pioneering Family-Friendly Spaces initiative, which provides safe, stimulating environments for factory workers’ children. To date, the program has supported 41,000 workers across 167 factories, making it one of the longest-running and most impactful initiatives of its kind.

“The scheme boosted the company’s reputation – outsiders envy our benefits. And inside the factory, the atmosphere has changed: parents are friendlier and departments feel like a family. It’s improved relations between HR and staff too.”- Mr Liu, Factory Manager, Guangdong province.

Carmel Giblin, CEO & President of ESCP said: ‘‘Protecting the rights and dignity of workers is not only the right thing to do but also good for business. This year’s report shows that when worker well-being is prioritized, we see measurable results for workers and their families, for factory performance, and for supply chain resilience.

‘‘While we’ve made incredible progress already, our ambition is to go further, faster. This depends on collaboration and we are inviting organisations of all sizes and sectors to join us in scaling proven solutions that strengthen people and performance.
