Everything’s Rosie Set For BLE Debut!
Red hot pre-school property Everything’s Rosie will be making its Brand Licensing Europe debut at Stand C030 at this year’s event.
Produced by V&S Entertainment Ltd – an independent children’s TV production and distribution company – Everything’s Rosie is an HD CGI animation aimed at girls and boys aged 3 to 6 and comprises 52x11min episodes split over two series; it has been broadcast on CBeebies since May 2010 and is now the channel’s top rated pre-school show. The series centres on Rosie, a little girl with a taste for adventure, and includes a cast of equally lovable characters such as Will, Holly, Big Bear, Oakley the ancient oak tree and Rosie’s best friend Raggles the rabbit. Rosie and her friends are positive, bright and inspiring role models – offering fun, laughter, discovery and timeless life lessons to pre-schoolers. A third series of the show is currently in production and will air in 2012.
Broadcasters across the world have also been quick to snap up Everything’s Rosie and the series is now being shown in over 150 countries, including RTVE in Spain and RAI YOYO in Italy.
The licensing community has been quick to notice the brand’s potential and a strong UK programme is now in place, with over 20 licensees on board across categories such as toys, DVDs, board games and puzzles, apparel, bedding, lunchware, bags and accessories. Partners include Vivid Toys, Blues Clothing, Roy Lowe & Sons, TDP Aykroyds, Vogue International, Worlds Apart and Zap, whilst top children’s publisher Egmont has recently been signed and is set to launch a range of books across key formats later this year. The licensing programme has also been extended to Spain, where a number of local licensees have come on board and a toy line from Vivid will launch in November, distributed by Giochi Preziosi Spain.
“We are very excited about presenting Everything’s Rosie at BLE 2011,” says Julie Quirke, Director of Licensing at V&S Entertainment, “the show is proving to be a big hit with pre-schoolers, who love the characters and storylines, and the licensing community has been quick to recognise this. We want to extend what is a rapidly expanding programme and will be looking to talk to new partners across a wide range of sectors.”
