Global Nonprofit Sesame Workshop Names Kendall Hubert Executive Vice President, Revenue & Philanthropy and Chief Development Officer

(New York, NY) Sesame Workshop, the global nonprofit behind the iconic Sesame Street, has named Kendall Hubert Executive Vice President, Revenue & Philanthropy and Chief Development Officer. She will be responsible for driving revenue growth and expanding philanthropic development, as well as lead the organization’s fundraising efforts. Hubert will report to Sherrie Westin, President and CEO.
“Kendall brings decades of development expertise, having managed an extensive portfolio of major gift and patron donors as well as commercial, foundation, and government partners,” said Westin. “Her proven ability to build meaningful relationships will be a tremendous asset as we build a major gifts program to sustain our work, which is critical to our ability to deliver on our mission.”
Most recently, Hubert was Vice President of Dehco, Inc, the operational holding company for Hubert Properties, her grandfather’s commercial real estate investment firm. She managed litigation, succession planning, and business development for the firm, where she remains on the board.
In her nearly 15 years at the Met, including as Senior Director of Leadership Gifts & Special Campaigns, Hubert contributed significantly in planning and funding capital and special campaigns, solicited and stewarded hundreds of donors across multiple campaigns annually, and secured 7- and 8-figure individual gifts and multi-year sponsorships and grants from commercial and philanthropic entities. She has also worked in funding the media space at the Met, securing leading funding for The Met: Live in HD global satellite broadcasts, Met HD licensing, Great Performances on PBS, Met Opera on Demand, and funding of the Met Opera Saturday Matinee radio broadcasts across 35 countries.
Prior to the Met, Hubert held senior external relations and development roles at the Japan Society and the Guggenheim Museum, building campaigns and fundraising in the U.S. and internationally. She also has a background in business development, education, and advertising, and speaks French, Japanese, and Russian. She holds a BA from Washington University in St. Louis and an MA in Arts Administration from Columbia University.
