Guru Studio Bolsters Leadership Team with New Hire and Promotions
Toronto, CA – Guru Studio, a leader in family and kids’ entertainment, is pleased to announce today the appointment of Jasmine Gard as VP of Finance. Jasmine brings to Guru fifteen years of experience as a proven finance leader within the production and animation industry. Previously, Jasmine held senior finance roles in Animated Series at Netflix, VP of Production Finance at 9 Story Media and most recently VP, Finance & Operations at Brain Power Studio. Reporting to Guru’s President and Executive Creative Director, Frank Falcone, Jasmine will oversee the company’s production and corporate finance departments, financial and budgeting strategy, as well as tax and auditing. Reporting to Jasmine, the department has also recently added Kwan Ho Lee as Controller who previously held the position as Director of Finance at Sphere Media.
Guru is also pleased to announce two key updates within its Sales and Marketing team. Daniel Rattner, who has been with the studio since 2017, has been appointed VP of Brand Strategy & Growth. In this new role, Daniel will spearhead Guru’s brand and content growth strategy, working across Development, Sales and Production to foster new marketing, content and monetization opportunities for the studio. In addition, Jennifer Oppenheimerhas been promoted toSenior Manager, International Sales & Licensing, as she continues to grow Guru’s content sales across original and third-party IP.
