Hunt Down Troy Landry from HISTORY®’s Swamp People at Licensing Expo 2012

Brandgenuity welcomes the beloved alligator hunter to booth #6162 at 4:00PM on Tuesday June 12, 2012.
HISTORY®’s Swamp People is the story of the American spirit, of the lost art of doing things the right way and of the unyielding desire to preserve a dying way of life from the encroaching modern world. Brandgenuity will have series star Troy Landry on-hand at Licensing Show to meet and greet fans.
Swamp People, which airs on Thursday nights at 9:00PM on HISTORY, follows intrepid hunters and family men as they head out in pursuit of these most powerful beasts during the 30-day alligator hunting season, regulated by the state of Louisiana. Season 2 of Swamp People set a record for the program, with 4.1 million Total Viewers. The sophomore season was up +24% among A25-54 and +31% among A18-49 vs. its freshman year. Season 3 is enjoying its best season yet and continues to be one of the top programs on cable.
“We are thrilled to be representing Swamp People and even more excited to have Troy with us for Licensing Show,” said Adina Avery-Grossman, Partner, Brandgenuity. “Troy is an integral part of Swamp People and draws crowds all over the country. We know that his presence at the show will heighten excitement all around.”
Licensees and retail partners will be able to leverage the show name, the talent and other assets (like Choot-em!) to develop unique but authentic Swamp People products at retail.
“We’re excited to be part of this new venture,” said Troy Landry. “We have so many great ideas, from gear, to clothes to food and we have all the secrets to make these products great. We love to travel and meet the fans, so whatever we can do to help support our partners, bring it on.”
Swamp People explores and celebrates a unique culture far removed from the mainstream of contemporary America. This is a united community that fends for itself and makes a living any way they can in an unpredictable environment. The families of Swamp People battle Father Time, Mother Nature and the challenges of life in and around the murky waters of the Atchafalaya Swamp. They are America’s forgotten pioneers.
Swamp People is produced by Original Media for HISTORY. Executive Producers are Jay Peterson and Charlie Corwin and Brian Catalina is co-Executive Producer. Executive Producer for HISTORY is Mary Donahue.
