Kilburn Live Joins Forces with Peanuts Worldwide to Create New Entertainment Experience
Kilburn Live, the Live Events division of Kilburn Media, an entertainment company focused on producing content with an emphasis on quality and originality, announced a new partnership with Peanuts Worldwide, the beloved global IP based on the comics by Charles Schulz. The pair will work together to create a new immersive experience to fit into the growing location based entertainment landscape.
Just in time for the milestone 70th anniversary of the first Peanuts comic strips, the collaboration will give guests the opportunity to go on a new family-friendly journey with the familiar faces of Snoopy, Charlie Brown, and all of their friends. Set to highlight the timelessness of the Peanuts characters, more information on this attraction will be released later this year.
“Partnering with Peanuts to bring such a classic piece of pop culture to life is an absolute privilege,” said Kilburn CEO Mark Manuel. “These characters are recognized and beloved globally, so we are looking forward to giving our guests the chance to step inside their world through this unforgettable experience.”
“Peanuts is a brand that is a true family tradition,” said Craig Herman, Senior Director, Category Management at Peanuts Worldwide. “Parents and grandparents cherish the opportunity to share their love of Snoopy and Charlie Brown with the next generation, and what better way to do so than through a Kilburn Live experience.”
This announcement comes on the heels of Kilburn Live’s recent successful ventures in the live entertainment space with The Dr. Seuss Experience and NERF Challenge activations. Both of which launched in late 2019 and will continue their tours throughout 2020 with next stops set to be unveiled later this Winter. The company is also behind the hit NightGarden franchise that has one location in Miami, Florida and another in The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Originating in the comic pages, Peanuts has grown to include a wide range of brand extensions, ranging from a robust consumer products business, to new content on Apple TV+. In 2018, Peanuts entered into a Space Act Agreement with NASA to introduce STEM content to a new generation, strengthening a relationship that dates back to the Apollo missions of the 1960s.

Since then, Charlie Brown, Snoopy and the rest of the Peanuts gang have made an indelible mark on popular culture. The new series Snoopy in Space launched on Apple TV+ on November 1, 2019. Peanuts animated specials and series air on major networks and streaming services, including ABC, Cartoon Network and Boomerang in the U.S., Family Channel in Canada, and the WildBrain Spark network on YouTube. Fans also enjoy Peanuts through thousands of consumer products around the world, amusement parks attractions, cultural events, social media, and a daily comic strip available in all formats from traditional to digital. In 2018, Peanuts partnered with NASA on a multi-year Space Act Agreement designed to inspire a passion for space exploration and STEM among the next generation of students. The Peanuts characters and related intellectual property are 41% owned by WildBrain Ltd. (TSX: WILD), 39% owned by Sony Music Entertainment (Japan) Inc., and 20% owned by family of Charles M. Schulz.
