SAN FRANCISCO — Licensed Right International (LRI), a global licensing agency serving both licensors and licensees, has named Linda M. Castillon to the position of Chief Licensing Officer. In this role, Castillon will be responsible for growing LRI’s license products business and expanding its artist clientele roster.

Castillon brings more than 25 years of experience in developing consumer products, licensing in assorted IP and licensing out IP to manufacturers, retail sales and business development expertise within the art, brand, character and entertainment industries to her new post.

Most recently, Castillon was the SVP of Licensing at CARD.com, where she handled the execution of over 400 licensed title and brand agreements, that generated more than $35 million over the past decade. Castillon was also instrumental in growing the iconic Fathead brand as a startup: The company generated $10 million in its first year of business under Castillon’s leadership as Chief Licensing Officer. She has held positions as SVP, Licensing at DecalGirl, and Skinit. She started her sports licensing career at Upper Deck Authenticated, working on the high-profile Michael Jordan Brand.

In her spare time, Castillon has delivered sports licensing and marketing seminars to students at both San Diego State University and the University of San Diego. She also has a passion for the arts and ceramics, which has proven to be an asset to her artist clients.
