LIMA Breakfast Roundtable Series Continues on July 25 with Licensing Tips & Trends
Join LIMA at the Cornell Club in New York on Wednesday morning, July 25th for lively and informative discussion groups with industry leaders. Roundtables will focus on the latest licensing industry tips and trends, including:
• Effective Use of Social Media – Corine Ingrassia, Social Media Strategist and Owner of Complicated Mama, will discuss best and worst practices, finding a brand’s authentic social voice, and how to utilize Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest and other popular platforms to engage directly with customers.
• How to Present to Retailers – Jennifer Zivic, Director of Retail Development, The Licensing Company, will offer tips on how attendees can effectively secure and prepare for a meeting with a retailer as well as ways to make the most of the presentation time and follow-up.
• Negotiating Tactics – Carla Peyton, SVP Licensed Consumer Products, BBC Worldwide Americas, will zero-in on the art of making a good deal – from the first cold call to the fully-executed contract. Peyton will discuss the most effective ways for attendees to negotiate and the information they need to secure a good license.
• Research – Marty Brochstein, SVP Industry Relations and Information, LIMA, and Leigh Ann Schwarzkopf, co-founder of Project Partners Network, will discuss research techniques and sources, including how to target and tailor your research efforts to cost-effectively achieve research goals.
The breakfast will take place from 8:00-9:30am – cost to attend is $55 for LIMA members, $100 for non-members.
