LIMA UK’S Spring Fling is Back: Save the Date, May 17
LIMA UK will be holding its 2012 UK Licensing Essentials Course and Spring Fling Networking event on Thursday 17th May this year. The popular event, which last year drew a record attendance of over 170 participants from the UK and international licensing industry, will take place at a London venue to be announced at a later date. LIMA is also putting a call out to any members who might want to participate as a debate panellist on the day.
As in previous years, the day will be in two parts. During the day, the Licensing Essentials Course will bring together some of the industry’s best speakers to deliver an engaging programme of seminars covering best practice, new trends and essential licensing know-how. The course is suitable for all levels: from complete beginners in licensing to those who want insider knowledge on where the next big trend is coming from.
The evening event will kick off with the Legendary Licensing Debate, a lively and provocative panel discussion on licensing, which last year featured senior industry figures Andrew Carley, Head of Licensing & Merchandising at eOne, Paul Bufton, General Manager at Warner Bros. Consumer Products UK, Robert Sutherland, Managing Director, Redan Publishing, Trevor Jones from Danilo and Rob Watson from Hornby. This will be followed by drinks and a chance for industry participants to network and let their hair down.
Kelvyn Gardner, Managing Director of LIMA UK, says, “Spring Fling brings together under one roof licensors, licensees, retailers, service providers and newcomers to the industry. Attendees from previous years tell us that it is one of the best places to mingle with senior people, make new contacts and develop business. We are also working on some additional surprise features to make it an even more worthwhile occasion.”
More details of this year’s event, including the venue and speaker line up, will be announced in due course.
