El Segundo, CA – Mattel announced the formation of Mattel Studios, bringing together its film and television units under the leadership of  Robbie Brenner.

Brenner, most recently President of Mattel Films, has been elevated to President and Chief Content Officer of Mattel Studios. She continues to report to Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Ynon Kreiz. Mattel Studios also today named Jennifer Breslow as Head of Television and Darian Lanzetta and Tom McNulty as Senior Executives, Film, each reporting to Brenner.

Brenner joined Mattel in 2018 and has over 30 years of experience and achievements in the entertainment industry to her credit, including two Academy Award nominations for Best Picture for “Barbie” and “Dallas Buyers Club.” Under Brenner’s leadership, Mattel currently has a robust movie slate in development and two films in production. The Masters of the Universe live-action movie is scheduled for worldwide theatrical release on June 5, 2026, and the Matchbox live-action movie recently wrapped principal photography and is slated for release in Fall 2026.

Mattel Studios will be organized into dedicated teams, each responsible for key areas of the business. Leading the television division is Jennifer Breslow, who will oversee the strategic direction of Mattel’s television slate, content creation, and distribution. Mattel Studios is premiering 14 television series and specials this year, with another 12 series in production and more than 30 in development. Darian Lanzetta and Tom McNulty will spearhead the development and production of major motion pictures based on Mattel’s IP, playing key roles in expanding Mattel’s growing film slate and driving creative and commercial success across multiple franchises.

Breslow brings to Mattel extensive experience across television and digital media, most recently serving as Executive Vice President of Television and Digital Media at Legendary Entertainment, where she led development on a slate of scripted series. Previously, she held senior roles at Netflix, where she oversaw international originals across multiple regions and led global hits like Fate: The Winx Saga and Firefly Lane. She previously served in executive leadership roles at A+E/Lifetime (Unreal), ABC (Scandal, Grey’s Anatomy), The CW (The Vampire Diaries, Gossip Girl), and Outerbanks Entertainment, where she rose from assistant to Vice President. She began her career as a PA on Boy Meets World.

Lanzetta joins Mattel following 12 years at Creative Artists Agency (CAA), where she most recently served as a Motion Picture Literary Agent representing a wide range of established and emerging directors, writers, and producers, with a strong focus on championing diverse and female voices. While at CAA, Lanzetta worked closely with Mattel to build its filmed entertainment slate, facilitating deals and talent attachments for films like Rock ‘Em Sock ‘Em Robots, Bob the Builder, Masters of the Universe, Barney, and Monster High. Lanzetta began her entertainment career as an intern at CAA’s New York office.

McNulty brings 25 years of experience and $2 billion in global box office success to his role at Mattel. He was most recently Principal at MC Squared Media, where he developed commercially and critically acclaimed projects and collaborated with top talent including Ozark creator Bill Dubuque, as well as Bradley Cooper, Emma Stone, Nate Bargatze, Steve Carell, and Miles Teller. His recent credits include Untold: Crimes and Penalties (Netflix), The Stand In starring Drew Barrymore, and The Spectacular Now, which premiered at Sundance and earned multiple awards. He previously held executive roles at Global Produce, Shawn Levy’s 21 Laps Entertainment, and Adam Sandler’s Happy Madison Productions. He began his career under Hollywood legend, Sid Ganis.
