Perry Ellis International, struck a series of distribution agreements for its licensed Nike Swim line, bringing it into Latin America for the first time. R1 Sports Ltda (Brazil), Uldin SA (Argentina, Paraguay and Uruguay) and Superdeporte Plus Peru S.A.C. (Peru, Bolivia,and Ecuador), will distribute a line of men’s, women’s and children’s swimwear to sporting goods and department stores and specialty swim shops. Perry Ellis, which has had the Nike license for swimwear since 2002, renewed the agreement in 2015, with plans for expanding distribution in Latin America and Europe. In renewing the Nike license, Perry Ellis sharpened its focus on licensed brands – Ben Hogan, Jack Nickolas, PGA Tour and Callaway — and sold off some labels, including C&C California to ACI Licensing in 2015.
