Planeta Junior Appointed as Noddy Licensing Agent for Chorion in Italy
Milano, February 2nd, 2011 – Planeta Junior Italy has signed an agreement with Chorion to be the exclusive licensing agent in Italy for beloved preschool brand, Noddy.
The celebrated author Enid Blyton’s most popular creation, Noddy first appeared in 1949 in the classic book, Noddy Goes to Toyland. Since then, the little wooden boy with the jingly blue hat has appeared in countless adaptations for the screen and stage. More than 250 million Noddy books have been sold worldwide and translated into over 40 languages. Noddy’s popularity with preschoolers has created a licensing program with over 200+ licensees offering more than 1,000 individual products.
The new Noddy CGI TV series, Noddy in Toyland is a top-rated show broadcasted in more than 100 countries around the world, and Make Way For Noddy was on RAI YoYo in Italy till December 2010 and it will be again on the iitalian TV in the next Spring 2011. Noddy has touched the lives of millions of preschoolers from all over the world and over three million Noddy DVDs have been sold to date worldwide.
