RHS Licensing Partners Make Another Strong Showing at Glee

Quality and variety highlighted at UK’s biggest trade event for the gardening industry

The Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) has announced that its licensees will this year once again have a strong presence at Glee, the UK’s most important trade event for the gardening industry.

From 27-29 June at the NEC in Birmingham, no fewer than ten RHS licensees and endorsed partners will have their own stands at the show, reflecting the diverse focus of both Glee and the RHS licensing programme with a selection of high-quality products that varies from gardening tools, lawn-care products and seeds to fragrances, greeting cards and mats.

  • Agralan (stand 20J20), a family-run business providing pest control solutions for the amateur gardener and commercial grower since 1986, offers various RHS-endorsed growing aids and protection from garden pests, with a focus on long-lasting products and the use of recycled plastic.
  • Burgon & Ball (6E30-F31), the UK’s oldest manufacturer of garden tools and accessories, is a byword for innovation. Alongside a range of stainless steel garden tools and quality cutting tools, Burgon & Ball also offers an award-winning range of gift products featuring artwork from the RHS Lindley Collections, the world’s finest collection of botanical art. Its wide range of RHS-licensed product includes a brand-new brushes and brooms collection.
  • DJ Turfcare Equipment Ltd (6H02) specialises in organic lawn-care products. Its award-winning RHS-endorsed range of lawn treatments is ideal for gardeners seeking a beautifully healthy green lawn.
  • Freckleface (7E40-F41) is launching its new RHS home fragrance range, a stunning new collection of home fragrances, thoughtfully produced to be kind to the environment using beautiful scent combinations inspired by nature…naturally.
  • Melcourt (6G02) is a leading manufacturer of composts, horticultural grits, sands and decorative aggregates. All Melcourt products are 100 per cent peat-free, and many are Soil Association-approved and suitable for use by vegans – which is why Melcourt is the only company of its kind endorsed by the RHS.
  • Mr Fothergills (7F60-G61) is one of the biggest European suppliers of seed to the hobby garden market. Its RHS range offers an inspiring selection of 61 flower and 55 vegetable seed varieties, many of which have received the prestigious RHS Award of Garden Merit (AGM). Much of the Mr Fothergills Seeds RHS range has been selected from the RHS Plants for Pollinators list.
  • Phoenox Textiles Ltd (Hug Rug®) (6H34-J35) has curated a beautiful RHS collection of nature-inspired mats and runners that celebrate the garden. Every Hug Rug® is crafted from the Phoenox zero-to-landfill mill in the heart of Yorkshire, manufactured with up to 90 per cent recycled materials and washable at 30°C.
  • Plantworks Ltd (Empathy) (6G34-H35) is dedicated to growing living, healthy soils by encouraging the soil’s natural fungi and bacteria – crucial to healthy plant development – and has gained the support of the RHS by offering a viable alternative to chemicals through its mycorrhizal fungi and beneficial bacteria products.
  • UK Greetings (7D60-E61) is a market leader in publishing, greetings cards and gift wrap. Its collection of RHS-branded greetings cards and gift wrap takes its inspiration from beautiful RHS photography and the amazing botanical artworks held in the RHS Lindley Collections.
  • Woodlodge Products (20B30-C31, 20A30-B31, 20A40-C41) is an RHS licensee for outdoor pots, one of the key RHS gardening categories. Indeed, as one of the UK’s leading suppliers of garden pots, Woodlodge has collaborated with the RHS on a number of beautiful designs for classic and contemporary planters, perfect for any outdoor space.

Cathy Snow, Licensing Manager, RHS, says: “The UK’s most valuable garden and outdoor living trade show is a perfect event at which to underline the strong commitment of the RHS licensing programme to gardeners and gardening – and its success in attracting many high-quality and varied partners. This show again underlines our strong, and very successful, commitment to gardening, but also to products inspired by nature.”

The RHS
Since our formation in 1804, the RHS has grown into the UK’s leading gardening charity, touching the lives of millions of people. Perhaps the secret to our longevity is that we’ve never stood still. In the last decade alone we’ve taken on the largest hands-on project the RHS has ever tackled by opening the new RHS Garden Bridgewater in Salford, Greater Manchester, and invested in the science that underpins all our work by building RHS Hilltop – The Home of Gardening Science.

We have committed to being net positive for nature and people by 2030. We are also committed to being truly inclusive and to reflect all the communities of the UK.

Across our five RHS gardens we welcome more than three million visitors each year to enjoy over 34,000 different cultivated plants. Events such as the world famous RHS Chelsea Flower Show, other national shows, our schools and community work, and partnerships such as Britain in Bloom, all spread the shared joy of gardening to wide-reaching audiences.

Throughout it all we’ve held true to our charitable core – to encourage and improve the science, art and practice of horticulture – to share the love of gardening and the positive benefits it brings.ct or Range.
