The Licensing International Foundation’s mission focuses on the next generation of licensing leaders, awarding students from around the world who are interested in a career in brand licensing at all stages of their educational journey.

What was your reaction when you first found out you had received a Licensing International Foundation Scholarship?
When I first found out I was in absolute disbelief and so excited. I immediately called my mom and grandparents to let them know the great news.

What did receiving this scholarship mean to you?
Being chosen for this scholarship validated that I am competent in my field and made me incredibly proud that, among the various students that entered, Licensing International believed in me and my abilities.

How has the Scholarship Program helped jumpstart or further your career?
This scholarship allowed me to enhance my resume and learn from and connect with so many people in the world of licensing, boosting my knowledge above my peers and allowing me to stand out.

Did this scholarship make you rethink your career goals?
In some ways, yes, but I’ve always known I wanted to have some part of my career in toy licensing and this scholarship allowed me to dive deeper into what this means for my path.

How have you grown professionally and personally from this experience?
This experience has allowed me more freedom to take risks and have a strong foundation for beginning my career.

What advice would you give to current college students who are thinking of applying to the 2024 Scholarship Program?
Always look for opportunities to learn and grow—even if it may not be what you originally planned, it may lead you to something fantastic.

Looking ahead, what are your next steps or aspirations?
I look to one day start my own company with strong licensing agreements.
