Sesame Workshop Promotes Three Staffers in Worldwide Distribution Group

(New York, NY, November 1, 2010)—Sesame Workshop, the nonprofit organization behind Sesame Street, has promoted Scott Chambers to Senior Vice President, Worldwide Media Distribution; Mike Khouri  to Vice President, Home Video and Audio Distribution; and Jennifer Perry to Vice President of Publishing, announced Terry Fitzpatrick, Executive Vice President, Distribution.
Chambers, who joined Sesame Workshop is 2002, will be responsible for supervising all aspects of the digital, traditional, and mobile media businesses worldwide, including publishing, interactive, television, home video and audio.  Prior to joining the Workshop, Chambers was with Disney Publishing, where he served as North American Licensing Director.  In his five years at Disney, he oversaw mass and trade book retail channels for the children’s book licensing program, as well as managed the continuity series and electronic/interactive book lines.  Prior to that, he spent six years at FAO Schwarz rising to the position of Senior Buyer.
Khouri, who joined the Workshop in 2006 as Assistant Vice President of Retail Strategy and Business Development, is now responsible for supervising all aspects of home video and audio businesses domestically and internationally.  Prior to his time at the Workshop, Khouri served as Director of Retail Sales and Marketing for Universal Music and Video Distribution for 14 years.
Perry, who joined the nonprofit in 2005 from Scholastic, is now responsible for supervising all aspects of the Publishing business at the Workshop, domestically and internationally, including the Sesame Workshop Publishing Archive.  At Scholastic, Perry was Associate Editorial Director in charge of a number of Scholastic’s licensed and non-licensed children’s continuity book clubs. Prior to working in publishing, Perry was Director of Education at an art and history museum.
Chambers will be reporting to Fitzpatrick, while Khouri and Perry will be reporting to Chambers.
