Peyo Company, in collaboration with HYBE and PLEDIS Entertainment, are bringing to life a special crossover project between SEVENTEEN and The Smurfs with the release of a new version of SEVENTEEN’s hit music video for “God of Music”. This exciting video collaboration on YouTube features a handful of the iconic Smurf characters joining the members of SEVENTEEN in a celebration of their shared messages of joy, teamwork, and harmony.

The project blossomed thanks to a delightful stroke of serendipity as both The Smurfs’ anniversary and the release date of SEVENTEEN’s “God of Music” fell on the same date, on October 23rd. Inspired by this unexpected connection, the two icons decided to join forces and celebrate their common vibes of happy togetherness.

Fans have been buzzing with excitement since a mysterious reel video was first posted last month on The Smurfs’ official social media, teasing the collaboration and suggesting that each member of SEVENTEEN would be transforming into a custom Smurf!

In addition to the release of the music video, the SEVENTEEN & The Smurfs collaboration will extend to an exciting range of consumer products that are due to be launched in 2026!

Pledis Entertainment said: “This collaboration brings together two icons united by shared values—SEVENTEEN, celebrated for spreading messages of positivity and togetherness through their music, and The Smurfs, beloved symbols of hope and happiness. We look forward to your continued support and interest as the project evolves to showcase how their combined forces amplify these values around the world.”

Véronique Culliford, President of Peyo Company and daughter of Belgian artist Peyo, creator of The Smurfs, said: “This collaboration is built around joy and friendship, echoing the Smurfs’ original purpose of bringing more laughs, joy and togetherness to the world, just as my father intended when he first brought the Smurfs to life. I know he would be happy and proud about this partnership with SEVENTEEN, and to see that 67 years after they were created, his beloved blue characters continue to spread joy and unity in new ways.”

About SEVENTEEN
SEVENTEEN—comprised of S.COUPS, JEONGHAN, JOSHUA, JUN, HOSHI, WONWOO, WOOZI, THE 8, MINGYU, DK, SEUNGKWAN, VERNON and DINO—have rocketed to the forefront of the music scene fueled by a fiercely independent spirit and a nonpareil in-house creative ecosystem. The 13-piece act’s innovative structure hinges on the interplay of three units: hip-hop, vocal, and performance. Holding the titles for the two best-selling K-pop releases of all time—FML (Apr 2023) and SEVENTEENTH HEAVEN (Oct 2023)—SEVENTEEN went on to solidify their global presence as FML (with more than 6.4 million copies sold) became the IFPI-certified top-selling album worldwide in 2023. They soared to new heights in 2024, making history as the first K-pop act to perform at Glastonbury and headline Lollapalooza Berlin, while also becoming UNESCO’s first-ever Goodwill Ambassador for Youth. Crowned ‘Best Group’ at the 2024 VMAs and ‘Top K-pop Touring Artist’ at the 2024 BBMAs, SEVENTEEN became the highest-ranking K-pop act on IFPI Global Artist Chart 2024, propelled by the success of their 12th Mini Album SPILL THE FEELS. Celebrating their 10th anniversary this year, the K-pop icons have blazed a new trail of reinvention with their 5th Studio Album HAPPY BURSTDAY—which debuted at No.2 on the Billboard 200, tying their highest record. The group’s touring success has been equally remarkable, ranking No. 1 among K-pop acts and No. 3 overall on Billboard’s 2025 midyear Boxscore charts.

About The Smurfs
Blue and cute, standing only three apples high, the Smurfs value team spirit, friendship, tolerance, fun, working together and respect for nature. They might be hard to tell apart at first, however, each Smurf has his or her own particularity. They live in a village full of mushroom-shaped houses, hidden in the heart of a magic forest where few people venture to go. Born in a comic book in 1958, Peyo’s little blue characters have been spreading happiness and entertaining kids and families for generations. The Smurfs animated series (2021) airs worldwide on Nickelodeon, on local free-to-air channels and is available on Netflix, Paramount+ and Amazon Video. In July 2025, a new Smurfs movie produced and distributed by Paramount Pictures starring Rihanna as Smurfette was globally released at theatres.
